Two promising series up now. I'd like to try the cars before deciding which series to enter, can't swing both. Thanks for hosting these and any future events.

Welcome Fit. I seem to remember your GT from FM3. I believe tuning was your forte and you always gave alot of help and advice to the Forza community.

That would be correct. I wrote several tuning threads for FM2 about vehicle balance involving a RWD swapped Cobalt. I maintained the Free Tune thread during FM3 and wrote another vehicle balance thread using 3 cars to show how effects on one car differ from the same change on another. (To dispell the one-size-fits-all approach) No plans to jump back in to the tuning world publicly in FM4, what a headache it can be.

I'll stick to racing this time around but I'm not above helping anyone out. Every bit of information you could ever need to tweak a car can be found at Forza-Tuning.net and that is my main hangout for Forza related topics and challenges. If I'm not hitting the track with those guys I'm busting my hump trying to keep up with the guys over at Exodus Racing. That's where I found the link here so I'm sure there will be several of them in upcoming series races.

We'll see how it all works out and if I like it I'll join as many of the races here as I can. The more the merrier.

Great to have you here Fit, I will definitely take a look see at your web site. I am kinda teaching myself about tuning although I have to admit I have yet to do much beyond tweaking FD gear ratio, air pressure, areo and brakes in FM4. I did fairly well for not knowing what I'm doing in FM2 and FM3, I never touched it in FM1.

If you willing to help others and have any you would like to throw my way for the Mosler I wouldn't mind taking them for a spin. I like to look at the way people who know how to tune have their settings, if they are gifted to me, plus it gives me a chance to tweak it to my own style of driving.

ps.

Went to check out the web site and I can't figure out where to look and I tried to register and could not. How do you answer the verification questions with out being able to register in the first place? I must be missing something or it doesn't display correctly in IE 9. Maybe you can help, Thanks.

It isn't my site but I have been involved with them for a long time as the head honcho's worked through all sorts of information gathering and theorizing about what to do. Eventually it all fell into place and vehicle balancing emerged. I tried to use some of the theories to recoup some of the CR's I burned to test cars, builds, tunes, and such. Hence my run at having a storefront.

It didn't take long for me to realize that the cars I built and tuned to MY driving style didn't have the mass appeal that most tuning marketplace cars seem to have. The CR's weren't rolling and I was always a step behind the tuning teams. Instead of having a temper tantrum or ranting about it I decided to write a thread that I can't link to yet. If you want search Vehicle Balance on the main Forza site and look for the most recent entries. It is a little project I ran using three slightly different cars in an effort to sort them out and provide repeatable results anyone could implement with practice.

Once I get the Mosler working out for me I'll gladly send you a copy of the tune. I can't promise it will drive better or worse than what you come up with but I can tell you that it will drive like I want it to. I don't have FM4 quite mastered yet as tire pressure plays a larger role in overall grip and the build is even more important than any adjustment. Honestly I've had some cars with no race parts that can whoop a fully adjustable race version. Haven't even started messing with front or all wheel drive either.

What am I saying.....were having a race tournament I can't go giving away all of my secrets! Laughing

Added some notes about the car in the Series Forum. Once I settle on a final drive and a couple of small tweaks I'll send you a tune to see if you like it or not Midnight Rider.

Its getting close to the end of the R3 Series and I haven't seen any announcements of upcoming events in the 9pm EST range. I've really enjoyed cutting my teeth here and hope there are more events planned that I can participate in.

Both of the series I'm currently wrapped up in are scheduled to run their last races on March 7th and March 10th. Is there any news of upcoming series to keep the racing spirit alive?
Are there any spec car possibilities that could use some testing?

I could use the next few weeks to build up a car and have it ready for a future event here. It seems that VM is in full swing and all of their series races are at least one race in at this point and coming in 4 weeks late and hoping for a decent finish is pointless.

If there are no current events in the staging lane I would love to brainstorm about things I enjoy racing but I'm only a participant here, not a race organizer.

There are always new events on the horizon here and in the planning stages. Rest assured we will be having more series following in the ending series footsteps. We try to keep things rolling here pretty well.

Fit, I assure you there are series in the works and they are being planned at this moment. We never go more then about 2-3 weeks before the next series starts. Don't worry my fellow MD native, racing is what we do best and there are more series coming your way very soon.

Well I hope so. Looking forward to more online goodness and a new challenge. (Not that I've mastered the Mosler.) With things slowing down on other sites and leveling off a bit now that the hype of FM4 being "new" has worn off, I'm looking for something to keep me interested in racing.

Hopefully there will be something about NASCAR stock car series soon. I've been waiting for that for a few months! I heard this was suppose to start this Friday, but I haven't seen anything!

A NASCAR road race series would be phenomenal. Whenever there is an R3 Challenge up I can always lay down a solid time in my Danica-mobile. Ovals are good but I've had bad luck running them without a team mate. The term "hung out to dry" holds true when you can't keep up as the teams pair up and run away. Maybe I've just not been in a proper stock car race yet.

This is where the stock car series was at last season. We ran mostly ovals and we ran 2 road courses. It was fun 30 race season! Lol. Hopefully they'll be something up soon!
