I only got to run a few qualifying sessions before being "distracted" by my wife. Best of a 24.4, I think if I remember correctly. It was definately a .4, just trying to remember the other two number before it! Stewart pulled a .1 on his first session, so I know I need more speed out of the Dodge.

Practiced with all three the other night after i ran with gashi. 27.8 in the ford 27.9 in chevy and 28.034 in the dodge. If i can make the race im still not sure what i wanna drive.

Man yall are running a second in a half faster than me and I got my car tuned up so I don't have to let out of the throttle. I don't think its going to matter anyway. I for see a pile up in turn 2 if people aren't given enough space.

For the guys who haven't raced these cars on this track... there is a lot of finesse involved. There are limited lines through turn 2. Square off turn 1, drift up the track towards the double set of tire marks going between them and the wall (without getting sucked into the SAFER barrier at the top) start to gentle turn in and then cut it down roughly at the shadow of the light post beyond that (this may vary depending on how much under steer your car setup has) and aim for the inside of the track at most clipping the edge of the apron (too much apron WILL kick you out and the wall is likely in your future). Hold on for dear life as you drift towards the outer wall. Running alone in qualifying you need to be able to do this at full throttle for fast times.

In a pack though the draft will make the cars push badly so be prepared to lift particularly the shallower you take turn 2 or you will hit the wall. If the car in front of you isn't prepared as well - you are also dead meat as his car will suddenly get much bigger. Communicate with the drivers around you if you are in over your head. Let them know you are lifting or not going to make it so as to try to avoid multi-car pileups. Someone will hit the wall in every lobby at some point during the race so be prepared.
