Just to clarify the results I ran the Chevy for this race, not the Dodge as stated above.

Did you change cars after coming into qualifying? You were last in the qualifying lobby and I looked and saw the Dodge listed but that may have defaulted and you changed it after I looked. Must have been that AAR Insanity dude.

Yeah he was in the Chevy, you can tell by what car I'm driving cause I always go with whatever car he is in.

We made two significant errors in caution procedure this week. One in each race lobby. The Race Admins will be discussing these issues but here what went wrong.

Lobby 1

Two cars were not on the lead lap at the time of a caution as they had pitted earlier. With a caution all cars entered the pit except those two cars (Viper and inviseco). inviseco was the first car not on the lead lap which gave him the "Lucky Dog" which he took. While the other cars were preparing to pit he was waved around. This left Viper first after everyone else pitted in the caution lap (but a lap down). Inviseco came around into 2nd and then the field exited the pits into 3rd through 8th place. Viper was not in the lead lap so he was relegated to the back at the restart which coincidentally put invisieco in first place. This unfortunately was incorrect according to the NASCAR rules that we attempt to emulate.

The proper procedure should have been: inviseco being the first lapped car gets the Luck Dog and gets waved around to the back of the pack. Assuming Viper does not pit, and is therefore behind the pace car but critically in front of the first place car, he also gets waved around to the back of the pack behind inviseco (an unusual instance of multiple Lucky Dogs). Whoever caused the caution is then relegated behind the field and finally anyone who violates the pit rules (eg. going in the pits before they are open) is then relegated behind those cars that caused the caution.

In summary, the restart order after caution should be: the first place car at the time of the caution, followed by the successive places, followed by the lucky dog(s), followed by the cars causing the caution, followed by any penalized cars. Our on the spot interpretation unfortunately advantaged inviseco (moving from a lap down in 7th to 1st at the restart) and disadvantaged Viper (who remained a lap down when he shouldn't have been).

Lobby 2

A car that was involved in causing a caution wound up holding their position (2nd) for a restart when as noted above (and also spelled out in the FMC Stock Car rules) they should have been relegated to the back of the field.

No, my best car for Motegi is the Chevy and I run it everytime, The Dodge I run everytime at Sedona and has a Red Bull paint scheme. I must have changed into my car late for qualifying but I apologize for any confusion I may have caused. See everyone at the bull ring next week.
