I don't think I will make this race. It is our anniversary and I have tickets to the Minnesota Twins game. Man I hope they turn their luck around soon. I was really looking forward to this race too. Oh well I will see you in for Clio.

Geez looks like a low showing tonight. I had grabbed some great times in this track with the dodge. Either way I will be there tonight.

Lobby 1 results:

Tense race... Was comfortable and running smooth at the start. OneSHot went wide in turn 1 and Xcess wide in the kink moving me up to 6th. I tied myself to Redneck for several laps but lost concentration in turn 1 and downshifted to 2nd, locked up and went to the beach giving all that work back and dropped to 8th again. Slowly reeled in Xcess and after the pits had jumped ahead of OneShot. Xcess made an error in the kink again and slightly overshot Canada corner trying to hold his position which put me back in 6th. The three of us played accordion for much of the remainder of the race. I locked my brakes in Canada corner and OneShot avoided me but lost a position. Xcess kept the heat on but I remained steady. Got too conservative in the 24th lap and Xcess hit the final corner much better and drafted me up the straight and pulled along side. Unfortunately side by side in turn 1 didn't work out too well and our cars bonded together and drove off onto the beach as OneShot, counting his blessings after his little prayer, drove by. A good effort by all in the back of the pack while Brizzo and b0x were apparently sleep walking to the finish. None the less, despite two big errors, I am happy with my lap times as for the first time on little practice put in several 2:00 before the end of the race.

Room 2 results:
We had a some close racing off and on through out the entire race. We lost Zieght13 in the 7th lap:

Sorry I missed the race. I lost my internet connection. Found out later that my network cable was loose due to the connector being broken. lol
Looks like I would have gotten last anyway with those fast lap times.

At least I made the B Lobby since there were only 16 racers. See you next week on a speedway track.

For me, it wasn't a bad race...when I didn't try to over-drive the car. When I took my time and hit my spots, things went well! When I didn't, well, dropped back to last within the first few laps. Had stretches where I concentrated and didn't over-drive the car, I was able to catch up to FACEPALMER...getting to within 500 feet! Then, I would do stupid stuff--get two wheels off or have an complete off-road excursion!

Oh well, if it weren't for Tom's Internet issue and Zeight lagging out, I probably would have been at the tail end of things!

It was a pretty fun beginning to the race then it got all spread out, hitting the wall on that fast second to last turn early in the race pretty much solidified the fact that I couldn't catch the guys I was racing with at the beginning after pit stops had cycled through. Giving them a clear track let them get way ahead and I just couldn't keep up, damaged or not. All the crash did was kill my hopes of possibly catching one of them if they happened to screw up. I was lucky to have held on the 5th as you were catching me faster and faster as the race went on.

Hopefully I can make it next week.
