Any reason why I was placed in lobby 3 for this race instead of lobby 2?

The racing tomorrow will be extremely close in all lobbies. Running tonight my best was a 1:01.9 but just about everyone will be close to or in the 1:02's

Average points earned per race and yours is 83 which put you 18th overall.

I don't have any problems racing in lobby 3 or any other lobby. Just want to clear that up.
I thought I was going to race in lobby 2 because of the following statement in the "Series Details" thread:
"No qualifying, lobbies are set by True Skill Rank for the first race, and by Series Points for the duration of the series".
Series points is different than average points, and since the "Points Standings" shows the total points and our position in the competition, I thought all we had to do is look that table to know where we stand.
I would rather use a criteria that is visible to all to determine the lobbies. Average of points is not part of the table and therefore not visible. That's just my opinion, not a complain.

Average Points is visible in the table. It is the column that says, Points/Start.
Please don't make this a big deal. We have done this in the past and it makes the competition alot closer.

It's not a big deal at all. Thanks for clarifying something I didn't know.

I ?x21X up.
Yesterday night my wife came home from work and asked what I was doing Wednesday night.
"It's race night!" I replied. We went to sleep.
This morning I realized today is our Anniversary. Oh.
I am still going to race tonight. No practice for me today, but I will be there a little before 9PM EST.
We going out to dinner!
It's our 37th.

Sorry for the confusion... the race details are not as clear as we would like in this regard. The idea is to keep similarly skilled drivers together. Because of bonusing and some drivers missing races means that the series points are not ideal for doing that. To correct for those issues we use finish points per start as the criteria to set lobbies. If a fast driver comes in and races and wins race 1 and then misses the next two races before returning, his total points would have him in the back lobbies and he would likely hot lap for the race in front of slower drivers.
The spreadsheet does show the points per start on the right side of the table. You will note that it will give a somewhat different order than the Final points just to the left of that in bold since it does not include bonus points and eliminates missed races. Of course the series organizers always retain the rights to shift drivers depending on who shows up and connection conflicts etc. Finally, this is only for lobby seeding and the overall standings that count are the Final Points which includes the best 7 of 8 race results and all the accumulated bonus points for the season.

Thanks Viper for the explanation.
There were more people that didn't know about that, so it was a good way to clear that up.

Re: Race 3 - Silverstone National
Good race tonight. They have been rare for me of late but I finally said what the hell and I turned off all assists to see what I could learn. Had two lock ups without ABS which lost me a few seconds and got caught up in Loco's draft and suddenly was on his inside which I couldn't hold and took him out. I wound up backwards at a dead stop. By the time I got turned around I was 6+ seconds behind Loco in last. That's the bad news. The good news is I think I finally figured out this car and then was running consistent low 1:02's for the rest of the race. Finished 6th right on solleft's bumper but it was a major recovery for me so I'm much happier with my effort. Plus I get a bonus point!
Re: Race 3 - Silverstone National
Good fun racing in Lobby 1. Special good racing to Mikem, we battled the whole race, gave each other space when necessary, good stuff!
Also, Lothar, or whoever picked the track, great choice! Made for intense racing. See you next week!
