Lotus Challenge Details

The Lotus Challenge is a points-based series, consisting of 9 races on 9 different tracks. The series features races that are determined by Total Race Time. In other words you are racing against everyone in the series, not just the racers in your lobby.

The Car:

The car is the very fun Lotus 2 Eleven. This car can be acquired by downloading the Free "Auto Show Car Pack Sample" at the XBL Marketplace. In game purchase price is 65,000cr. We will be running the car with Stock Upgrades and Stock Tuning.

The car may be painted with any livery, but must have the Lotus Challenge Number Plate on the left and right side, and the number plate must have the drivers FMC# in it. The Lotus Challenge number plate can be found at the LotusChallenge1 Storefront. Also, you must have the Turn 10 logo on atleast the 2 sides of the car.

The Schedule:

Races start at 8:00 P.M. CST U.S. / 1:00 A.M. GMT

ALL RACES ARE 25 LAPS

Round 1 - March 10th - Sebring Club
Round 2 - March 17th - Catalunya National
Round 3 - March 24th - Sedona Club
Round 4 - March 31st - Road Atlanta
Round 5 - April 7th - Bugatti Circuit
Round 6 - April 14th - Motegi East
Round 7 - April 21st - Suzuka West
Round 8 - April 28th - Mugello Club
Round 9 - May 5th - Silverstone International

Basic Lobby Settings:

Starting Lineup: Lobby Points
Laps: 25
Collisions: On
Damage: Cosmetic
Race Timer: None
Assists: Any
Upgrades: Stock
Tuning: Stock

Race Details:

Participants will recieve an invite from their pre-designated host around 8:00 PM CST.

No qualifying, lobbies are set by True Skill Rank for the first race, and by average points per race for the duration of the series. To start the race according to lobby points, you will run a 1 lap race and competitors will finish in the order stated in that weeks race thread.

Starts will be standing starts at the green. Restarts may occur if a driver lags out on the first lap, or 3 or more drivers wreck on the first lap. Number of restarts are limited to 3.

There will be a mandatory pit stop between laps 3 & 23, which means you must pit on lap 4 or by the end of lap 22. There will be no mandatory pit stop at Sebring Club or Suzuka West since there is no pit lane.

Races will be approximately 30 minutes in length, and the finishing order is determined by Total Race Times from all lobbies.

Points Table:

Note: We will be dropping each driver's worst finish. Final Points Standings will be based on each driver's best 8 finishes out of 9. This will allow each driver to miss 1 race in the series.

Bonus Points:

Earn up to 40 bonus points per race!

Participation - 20 Points
Win (In Your Lobby) - 10 Points
Fast Lap (In Your Lobby) - 10 Points

Teams:

There will be a Teams Championship, however drivers are not required to be on a team. Teams must have at least 2 drivers but no more than 3. Team points, for each race, will be based on the 2 highest scorers from each team.

Teams must run the same livery design but can have different colors.

1st - 1,000,000 Credits & 4000 Microsoft Points
2nd - 500,000 Credits & 1600 Microsoft Points
3rd - 250,000 Credits & 1600 Microsoft Points
4th - 150,000 Credits
5th - 100,000 Credits
6th - 90,000 Credits
7th - 80,000 Credits
8th - 70,000 Credits
9th - 60,000 Credits
10th - 50,000 Credits

Team Championship Credits:
1st - 600,000 Credits
2nd - 300,000 Credits
3rd - 150,000 Credits

Privateer Championship Credits:
1st - 200,000 Credits
2nd - 100,000 Credits
3rd - 50,000 Credits

Sounds like fun! Thanks for holding a tournament, Since Turn 10 and Microsoft decided to take away all our weekly tournaments and tuning in the race lobby, there has been a HUGE gap in our new game. The public hopper system of public races really sucks. They have definitely lost their touch on what the core Forza MotorSport audience is and what they want in their game.

Glad someone is doing something about it finally, thanks to all the "dreaded" teams dedicated to racing that have been providing us with what little quality racing is still left in the public sector. Hopper races only get you into a room with either a bunch of 10 year olds (mentalities, not ages) that complain the second you beat them in a race or attempt to wreck your race for you. We thought we had a few bad seeds in Forza 2 but we were better able to handle them, now there is no use in using the public races as you get nowhere in most of them.

What a let down on Microsoft and Turn 10's part. And thank you, again for holding the tournament.
