Welcome To Sunset Speedway
Race 1 - Sunset Speedway Ip1jc0
Built in 1958 on the west coast of Florida, Sunset Peninsula Raceway is not as well-known
as the newer tracks it has inspired but it still retains a large and loyal fanbase. The track and
its various circuit layouts make for a comprehensive test of driver skill, setup acumen, and
automotive power. All-out horsepower is tested to its max at Sunset Peninsula’s 2.44-mile
tri-oval, while the 2.78-mile full circuit combines the oval with the extremely technical
(and utterly flat) infield sections, where the even slight mistakes in driver judgment can
result in devastating results.

Be sure to sign up for a qualifying session. Qualifying will be held this Saturday from 12 Noon ET to 6 PM ET.

Please post your intentions on the following format:

To those in UK as from this Saturday night we start our Summer time and clocks go forward one hour, so we go back to being 5 hours ahead of US eastern time.

But as qualifying is on Saturday before clocks go forward just add 4 hours.

I don't know when I'll be home on Saturday. Can I try to jump into one of the lobbies whenever I'm around? Otherwise, I won't be able to qualify. If I don't qualify, can I start last?

Yes you can. Anyone who is unable to qualify on Saturday can request an early qualifying time. Just post in this thread the time you would like to qualify and we will find a host who can qualify you.

@Face - I'll be on Friday night but it will be late. I can see if someone is available sooner if you like.

Guess I am going to have to drop this one fellas, I will not be home in time to qualify. I don't get home until, at earliest, 8 pm EST and then I am running the Saturday Night Clash as well. Dang and I wanted to continue on with my truck battle standings, hope you guys have fun.

Well, I'm working Wednesday through Sunday. I might be able to tonight, I will have to see, I was planning on doing my paint & tune tonight (you would think I would have it done by now, seeing how long I hav e know about this, but I procrastinated. Embarassed ). If I can qualify without a paint I can do a quick tune after I get home around 4:30 - 5:00 pm PST. I will look for someone then, otherwise I might have to miss the first race and start with a handicap. Thanks for offering early qualifying! cheers
