Chase Race 6 - Sunset Speedway - Restricted

Really enjoyed my 1st stock car series. Great job by Viper and gang to run the whole thing from Feb to Oct. Would have been lost if not for the help and tunes from my teammates.

A fitting finish if I do say myself! The early part of the race was a bit of a struggle getting steady since I hadn't practiced or even been in a stock car in a couple weeks. Qualified well for a one off run. Kept running wide due to late and inconsistent turn ins and eventually got hung out as the field pushed inside of me. Caught a BIG tailwind and started to pass the leaders on the outside of turn 3 when suddenly GLRmikem and GLR Insanity scraped across my windscreen and hit the wall with me escaping just inside on lap 10. I knew I had the race won shortly thereafter when EZT solleft and EZT Neo 45 took advantage of the caution to pit. It was too early and it left me pacing the restart with the familiar and reliable GLR1FastRedneck directly behind. We aren't so good the otherway around but with me pulling and redneck pushing there are few that can keep up. Inviseco sitting in second at the restart got hung out and the GLR tandem began to gap the field. Redneck and I pitted to repaint my rear bumper relinquishing the lead to EZT solleft and EZT Neo 45. They soon discovered they didn't have the fuel to make it to the end and had to pit again with a handful of laps to go. I appreciate the win after a long season! Thanks for the excellent effort to Redneck.

Great job invesico for the championship and viper for the victory. I had a blast running the stock car series this year and would like to thank everyone that made this series great and helping me along to improve and making me a better racer! Really enjoyed it!

I have many races saved into my brain's memory card, but this race I will definately remember forever. It just does not get much better, and for my final FM3 race it was the perfect way to say goodbye. Great job to Viper, that's how it's done my friend!

Good race for EZT. Would have been even better had Solleft and I have to pit again during the last five or six laps!

He and I were 1-2 when the first caution came out very early in the race--perhaps prior to Lap 10. I think AXE was behind me. Anyway, Soll and I opted to pit during the caution. This was our fata flaw of the race. The reason? Viper and Redneck took over the top spots. Yes, Soll and I did manage to get back around and be within decent striking distance in both track position and laps remaining. All we needed was for Viper and Redneck to pit. Then we could take over the top spots again! Ha ha!

Unfortunately, the last laugh was on us. Somehow while behind Soll, I got too close to the tire wall at the end of the pit wall and was scrubbed off from behind him sending me to sixth. AXE did come to pick me up so we could catch everyone, but was to no avail. In the end, Soll and I had to pit a second time. That was it for us. Better pit strategy would have won the race for one of us. Great job to Viper and Redneck!! Lesson learned for EZT!!
