Grand Am Rolex - Season 1 Details Fog0ar
Hi everyone, FM Challenge is becoming part of a multi-division racing series called the Grand Am Rolex Series. Multiple Divisions will each be running the same identical series to determine their top finishers, and then the top finishers from all divisions will meet for one hell of a final race to determine a National Champion! FMC will be home of the Eastern Division of this exciting new series, and will be hosting the fun 3 week series on Saturday mornings at 10:00 EDT 9:00 CDT 7:00 PDT. It is based on the real Grand Am GT series, with 15 cars of equal builds available. These are the same cars found in the real series built to nearly the same specs.

Note: There are 2 ways to get the car builds:

1-(more work for you)-Go to FMC 2010's storefront and get them(search Grand Am East). What you get from the storefront is the build only with a base tune. You can adjust the tune as you please, however there is a process you need to go through to unlock the build, and be able to tune the car: When you get the build from FMC 2010, you need to install it on a new car(one that has never been upgraded before). Once you have installed the build on the car, remove the build back to default. Then go back into the upgrade section and you can see the parts that need to be installed. Re-Install those parts and then you can tune your car. Make sure you only install the parts that were on the original build.

2-(more work for me)-I can gift them unlocked: Just send a PM on live telling me (GLR1FastRedneck or FMC 2010) which one and it will be gifted asap.

**Any driver racing with the wrong build will be eliminated from the series immediately**

These are the cars on FMC 2010's storefront - Search "Grand Am East":

1. 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8

2. 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS

3. 2005 Ford Mustang GT

4. 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP

5. 2010 BMW M6 Coupe

6. 2004 Mazda RX-8 Mazdaspeed

7. 2003 Nissan Fairlady Z

8. 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport

9. 2003 Infinit G35 Coupe

10. 2004 Ferrari F430

11. 2004 Porsche 911 GT3 (996)

12. 2008 BMW M3 E92

13. 2010 Jaguar XKR-S

14. Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

15. Nissan 370Z

These are RWD S-Class cars that are fully built with maximum handling and limited hp, and are quite possibly the best feeling cars you will ever have the pleasure to compete in.

The Series Inspiration:

The Grand Am Rolex series is American style Road Racing at its best with production based race cars. GRAND-AM Road Racing, which was founded in 1999, revolutionized major league sports car road racing in North America. As the organization begins its 11th season of competition in 2010, GRAND-AM is universally regarded as one of the world's most competitive road racing organizations.

The GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, featuring straight-from-the-showroom American muscle cars and the hottest imports, is also back in 2010 for its 10th season of competition under the GRAND-AM umbrella.

GRAND-AM races at some of the world's most prestigious venues - Daytona, Montreal and Watkins Glen - and has taken the role of a top annual attraction at some of the newest venues in the industry such as Miller Motorsports Park, Barber Motorsports Park, Virginia International Raceway and New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Eastern Division Series Details:

There are 5 tracks for the 3 week series. You will race 2 tracks each Saturday, 13 laps each, with 2 mandatory pit stops in each race. The 3rd Saturday will be the Divisional Championship, a 25 lap battle reserved for the top 8 points scorers in the Eastern Division.

After the 3 week series is over, it's on to week 4! The top points scorers from the Eastern Division will meet the top points scorers from the Central Division in the Nationals, a 25 lap battle to determine the Grand Am Rolex National Champion.

Once a Division's series has started, drivers are locked into that division for the duration of the series. Drivers are not permitted to race in multiple Grand Am Rolex Divisions.

Drivers may only pick 1 car for the series, you may use any paint livery you choose, and there is no car number required.

No qualifying, standing start, any assists, collisions on, cosmetic damage.

Restart rule: 3 or more cars crash in the first lap, with a maximum of 3 restarts

The Schedule and Grid Order will be like this:

Week 1 - July 17th - 10:00 AM EDT
Race 1-Motegi-13 laps-Reverse True Skill
Race 2-Sebring-13 laps-Reverse Lobby Points

Week 2 - July 24th - 10:00 AM EDT
Race 3-Road America-13 laps-Reverse Season Points
Race 4-Catalunya GP-13 laps-Normal Lobby Points

Week 3 - July 31st - 10:00 AM EDT
Race 5-Eastern Division Final-Sunset Club-25 laps-Normal Season Points
(The actual winner(s) will be decided by total points from the season, added to this race. *The Eastern Division Final is double points)

Week 4 - Time TBD
Race 6-Nationals-Sunset Club-25 laps-Normal Season Points-Winner is decided by finishing order.

Points:

Points are based on total time order, provided there is more than 1 room. The point system would be 12 for a win, 11 for second, 10 for 3rd, 9 for 4th place, 8 for 5th, 7 for 6th, 6 for 7th, 5 for 8th, 4 for 9th, 3 for 10th, 2 for 11th, 1 for 12th. Plus 1 bonus point for winning a room and plus 1 point for fast lap in a room. All ties in points will be broken by best average finishing order

Eastern Division Championship Prizes:

1st $300,000
2nd $250,000
3rd $200,000
4th $150,000
5th $100,000
6th $75,000
7th $50,000
8th $25,000

Yes, I raised the same question to GT Don. He said he picked tracks that are even for all cars, and that this track (Sunset Club) is the most even for all car makes...and therfore is the best for the division final. He said if I can find a track just as equal for all cars, we can run it in the Nationals. I just don't have the time to do that...so Sun Club it is!

Hey Bob, what you get from GT Don is the build only with a stock tune. You can adjust the tune as you please, however there is a process you need to go through to unlock the build, and be able to tune the car: When you get the build from GT Don, you need to install it on a new car(one that has never been upgraded before). Once you have installed the build on the car, remove the build back to default. Then go back into the upgrade section and you can see the parts that need to be installed. Re-Install those parts and then you can tune your car. Make sure you only install the parts that were on the original GT Don build.

Grand Am Rolex - Season 1 Details Empty New cars and upgrades to Ferrari 430

Post  OneFastRedneck Tue Jul 13, 2010 3:05 pm

2 new cars have been added and there have been changes to the Ferrari 430, it now has matching rims to the rest of the cars in the series, and a racing flywheel. This pushed the p.i. up 9pts, and gave it a needed boost.

GT Don is sending me all the car builds this week. That way I can gift them unlocked, and makes the car acquisition process alot easier for you guys. Remember that any builds gifted to you are not tuned, it's the build only. Reply to this message if you need a build gifted.

A list of tunes that are available to buy are mentioned at the top of this thread, however the following cars stated are NOT available to buy on the storefront when I search for "Grand Am Rolex":

2010 BMW M6 Coupe
2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport
2004 Ferrari F430
Nissan 370Z

Can someone please let me know what's going on with this, as we can't exactly enter with 1 of the above cars until we know what parts are allowed!

Updated OP. I finally have all the builds from GT Don. They are on my FMC 2010 storefront, search "Grand Am East".

Or, send me (GLR1FastRedneck or FMC 2010) a PM and I can gift them.

The cars are on GTdons storefront, but they have a different description, when you find one Grand Rolex car, go to Owner's Storefront in the menu Smile

Guys, the "builds" can now be found in 2 storefronts, FMC 2010(Search-"Grand Am East") and AAR GTDon(Search-"Grand Am Rolex"). Or PM me on live telling me the cars you need.

I hate to labor the point but with all the tracks in Forza we should not be repeating, race 5 on the same track as race 6. I don't care which other one we do. I vote we change race 5 track. thanks
